Just last week I was dealt with a (rushed) parent's 2nd marriage, a death of someone way too young (38), a cat peeing on the bed and MY pillow (along with a stealthy second hit when I piled the freshly cleaned sheets on the bed), my home computer dying a horrible quick death and not to mention a handful of missed trips to the bathroom for the 3 yr old.
By the way, you look fabulous!!! I was at Lori's when I first saw your picture. When I showed it to Lori, she didn't recognize you at first but that was because she was looking at the other girl! (I blame it on the fact it was 11 at night and the compounding factor of having 4 kids all under 4.) Anyway we both agree that you look fabulous!
(I really need to remember how to get into my MySpace account with all its default settings)
Happiness is a weird thing. I have given up expecting happiness. I look for days of contentment, lack of drama and call those happy days.
I have also decided no one can make me feel happy but they can take away the feeling. It is hard to realize the control we can have in taking away something as precious as happiness but yet we can't make anyone happy. You know me, I'm all about the control issues.
Ahh yes, happiness..What is that? I think I felt it this morning but I'm not sure..
My only advice comes from something my 8 year old says "Keep moving forward." So, Kimmah, I have to tell you, me and everyone else "Keep moving forward."

because, as some fvcker once said, you wouldn't appreciate how good the good can be if it weren't for the bad.
Ups and downs...downs and ups...

Today, I had my students write about the following quote:
"A happy life doesn't come from the absence of hardships; it comes from overcoming hardships."
Something like that. I'm too lazy to look up the exact quote. Helen Keller said it, if that puts anything in perspective.
Hugs. Gotta go drop off the kids and then meet The Landru and the Wheezi for dinner.
