100 posts! 100 posts!

this should be some sort of memorable entry, but it won't be. it will be positively mundane and ordinary because i can't think of a single thing to write about that is really 100th-post-worthy. so, i guess that means that the comment section of the 100th post better be kick-ass entertaining, yes?

go to it. comment. enlighten. amuse. commemorate.

This blog is copacetic. Better than copacetic, even.

it's because you get to read AND learn, isn't it? i have such scholarly friends.

copacetic---didn't someone on t.v. use that word a lot? where have i heard it?

I do learn here! For example (and I know I'm cheating by reading ahead), I had never heard the word abulia before. And it's a story-worthy word.

Copacetic... yeah, I think there was a character in something or another... it seems like something that'd be in a John Cusack movie.

And now I've jumped down a rabbit hole to find out more about copacetic. Wikipedia has a pretty long entry on it, including speculation as to its origin. There are also pages here, here, here, here, and here.

If you ever figure out what tv show or movie it was used in, I wanna know, because it's gonna bug me now.

Sherps needs a life.

But he's (and Kimmah) right. It was used a lot somewhere on TV. Great. Now it's gonna bug me.

I once had a co-worker who used the word copacetic constantly. I always think of him when I use it.

Hiya Kimmah!

I thought the same thing about copacetic on tv when I first saw the word.

My first guess would be Seinfeld only because they tended to have the off-the-wall quotes but couldn't find verification.

Copacetic
Coined by Steve Martin: all right, cool, safe. As in,
"Is everything copacetic?"

Although the origin of the word goes back to the early 1900's.

"And you just don't get it. You keep it copacetic. And you learn to accept it. You know it's so pathetic. And you don't. No you don't..." Local H - So Pathetic

That's what I thought of.
